Fourscore (or Four Score, depending on which label you're looking at) was written by Lord David Dundas for the launch of Channel 4 in November 1982. Channel 4 opened with the contracted, jingle version of Fourscore and following Paul Coia's introduction this (four minute long) piece of music accompanied a video setting out Channel 4's agenda as the first launch broadcast on the station.
