The Blue Aces, sometimes referred to as the The Blue Aces Showband, were an Irish beat band active in the mid-1960s. They soon relocated to London, United Kingdom. After a couple of singles on Pye they signed to Columbia and some members of the original band returned to Ireland in 1966 and only Charlie Cheevers (sax) and Jerry O'Shea (drums) remained, joined by singer/songwriter Ron Ryan plus Ron Carthy, Keith Field and Mike Kelleher. As well as touring the band did some work for the BBC and can be seen backing Lulu, performing 'Shout' on Top of the Pops.
