The Chinese Fire Drill was born the way most other bands are: Bordom and general disdain for other music. Starting in the small town of Lakeside, Arizona, The CFD rose to mediocre fame in their area due mostly to their wonderful use of sarcasm towards the other bands playing at the shows they were performing at as well. Often claiming on stage, "Sorry we're playing first again, guess we don't sound enough like everyone else," and "maybe if we scream more, chicks will dig us!"
