The El Rays were an American 1950's doo-wop group from Harvey, Illinois, U.S. later to rename as The Dells with Johnny Funches (lead tenor vocals), Michael "Mickey" McGill (tenor vocals), Verne Allison (tenor vocals), Lucius McGill (tenor vocals), Marvin Junior (baritone vocals) and Chuck Barksdale (bass vocals). They released one single in 1952, "Darling I Know" / "Christine", with the Willie Dixon Orchestra, for the Checker (Chess) label.
