Minneapolis writer Sam Magavern created the Flops for a story he was writing but the band was brought to life by friends Matt Wilson and John Munson, both formerly of Trip Shakespeare. the Flops provide the soundtrack for Sam's story, a multimedia work which is included as part of the Flops 2002 release Ooh La La. the Flops played several shows (mostly in Minneapolis) between 2001 and 2005.
