The Free Keys are a Progressive Metal Quintet originally from Tehran, Iran. As of 2010, Free Keys consists of Pooya (Singer/Guitarist), Arya (Guitarist/Keyboardist), AK (Bassist), Arash (Drummer/Synth), and Anthony (Sound Manipulator/singer). The band was founded by Pooya and Arash, both ex-members of the now defunct Zartosht, a well-known Metal band in the newly-born Iranian Rock/Metal movement of the early 00s. Their energetic style and the use of Khayyam's Poetry soon earned them a cult following, but farsi lyrics also meant they couldn't get much success elsewhere. … read more
