The Geeks started out as a solo project. Generating a modest amount of internet buzz led to the formation of a full-fledged band of confused, introverted kids. An album, Monsters Under Your Bed, was released in 2013 with little fanfare and moderate critical acclaim. By the end of the year, MUYB was named one of the top 25 Filipino albums of 2013 by online music magazine Vandals on the Wall. There are a bunch of other bands with the same name around the world.
