The Go-Go's first hit single, "Our Lips Are Sealed," was written by guitarist Jane Wiedlin and Terry Hall of The Specials with whom she was briefly romanticly involved although he had a girlfriend. Hall sent Wiedlin the lyrics and she wrote the music and finished the song. Hall later covered the song with his new wave band Fun Boy Three (our lips are sealed) which hit #7 in the UK pop charts.
