First off, Maruli Hasiholan (ex- Sendal Jepit / The Bonots) formed The Marmars in 1999. With loads of songs, but no other musician, he created four fictional quadruplet brothers as virtual members of a virtual band. Then some folks asked him to have a gig, so he recruited additional members to perform for just one gig or two. The Marmars on Records consist of Maru Marmar : Vocals & Guitar, Ruli Marmar : Guitar & Backing Vocals, Hasi Marmar : Bass & Backing Vocals, Olan Marmar : Drums
