Sound of the Suburbs is a classic Uk Punk Rock hit from Surrey based group “The Members" from 1979. The song was originally written by JC Carroll in 1977, about his experiences growing up in suburban Surrey, He went to primary school in Camberley and heard the Broadmoor siren clearly every monday morning. Nicky Tesco added a third verse to the Song. It was first performed live at The Marquee Club in Soho. Tesco was a graduate who, having failed to emigrate to Canada, had returned to Camberley, Surrey, UK, and had been working in a variety of jobs when the opportunity arose to form a band. Linking up with a friend and local guitarist Gary Baker an initial four piece was formed.
