The Mighty Bard was formed by Dave Clarke and Neil Cockle in 2004. Neil’s previous bands had included an early incarnation of Marillion, Starlight Cruiser, The Negatives, The White Lines, and some time with Deja Vu and Friday working with Sean Burke (ex-Tubeway Army). Dave and Neil spent some time bringing their ideas together and writing new material, then recruited Mark Cadman (bass), and Gavin Webb (vocals), the four of them then shaped the core of the bands material in Neil’s loft studio in the heart of Buckinghamshire.
