Biography
There are at least three bands called The Name.
1) England rock group, active in the late 80s.
2) The Name was the solo project and then full band featuring Philadelphia musician Seth Engel. They released two EPs and two 5 song demo CDs, as well as a free three track internet demo. The Name broke up in May 2008, but their website is still online at . Seth's new band is called Options
3) Formed in 2006 by Andy (guitar and vocals), Molinari (bass) and Alves (drums), The Name brings a post-punk and new wave revival, with many influences of the 80's and contemporary elements. In December of 2006 the group launched the EP "Gone", with five songs. This work gave them a great acceptance of the public.
So, an year later, in December of 2007, they released a new single, called "Older", with two new songs and the "Older" live version recorded for the television show called "12 Horas no Estúdio" exhibited by Multishow cable channel. The single has free download in the internet and the whole material of "Gone" and "Older" can be entirely checked into their official website: www.thenamemusic.com.
