The People formed in the summer of 2002 and immediately set about recording the now famous lost untitled debut. Songs such as Zion Gate formed the basis of what was to become their sound. Their second self titled mini-album was released by Hijacked records in 2004. Recorded as live as possible over several days, new textures were developed and songs such as I'll Promise You Better displayed a songwriting craft that was both complcated yet accessable.
