Biography
The Pushers refers to two acts:
1) A short-lived italian punk77 band;
2) Another outlet for producer Colin C. Allrich, focusing mainly on the deeper, grime-y side of progressive house. Originally founded as a duo with fellow 'vinyl hustler' Leonine, the duo released their first blend of tribal house, progressive and drugged up beats on a remix of "The Drums Are Pushing Inside My Head" for UK based Adjust Recordings. Shortly after Leonine shifted focus away from production and The Pushers was left to be helmed solely by Colin. Since then Colin has gone onto take the Pushers guise upwards creating a huge remix of Dan Welton's "Lisopain" that landed on Hernan Cattaeneo's "Sequential" mix album for Renaissance Records.
On July 3rd of 2006, Adjust Recordings released the first original production for The Pushers, "The Heart Leaks Out". A nearly 10min piece of driving yet atmospheric progressive house that came with a stellar remixes by Virus J, Stu Hirst, and Sean Holland. In February 2008 Polytechnic Recordings will release a follow up original aptly titled "A Pusher's Theme", sporting remixes from Matt Rowan, StereoK, Bitfiend, and Adrian G.
Recently, The Pushers released an EP for Pole Folder's 80Hz Recordings with the vocalist Manik (Blue Velvet), as well as numerous remixes for Polytechnic Recordings.
