The band consisted of Johnny Thompson (lead guitar, vocals) , Melvin Ralston (rhythm guitar), Chuck Smith (bass), and Bill Doyle (drums). Bob Stanley was the drummer of The Empalas in the early 60's. Melvin Ralston asked Stanley to be the drummer of The Rockin' Continentals. Stanley joined them. They performed throughout Kansas as time went by.
