The Smilin' Scandinavians began in May 1995 when students at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. They're led by accordionist and singer Toby Hanson. The Smilin' Scandinavians are a polka band that covers the basic polka repertoire (Scandinavian, German, Slovenian, Czech, Polish) and plenty of other music for social dancing.
