The Velvet Orchestra are an emotive (?) alternative rock band based in Leeds, England. The brainchild of Lee Smith, also featuring long time member Alex Didlock on drums and Lindsay Wilson on another guitar. Lee mostly uses short stories for his lyrical content and sings mostly falsetto ala Muse, Radiohead and The Mars Volta. The latter two being very big influences on the band.
