Unripened is the moniker of the (bootlegged) reissue of the first version the Velvet Underground recorded of their debut album at the Scepter Studios in April 1966. A few acetates were pressed, and handed out to band members and Andy Warhol. Warhol then tried to find the band a recording deal. Eventually, the Velvet Underground were signed by Verve who changed the running order of the tracks, remixed and/or re-recorded most of the songs and added "Sunday Morning".
