Thierno is a saxophonist with a career stretching well over three decades – half of that time with Youssou Ndour’s band ‘Le Super Etoile de Dakar’. Their many hits include ‘7 seconds’, the well known duet with Neneh Cherry.During that period Thierno also joined the James Brown Senegalese tour and jammed with Maceo Parker. He went on recording two albums with another great Senelgalese artist: Cheikh Lo.
