Born in Canton, OH as Travis L. Carter II in a very musical family, T~Rev was instantly groomed for entertainment, entrepreneurship, and even spiritual repute! Unfortunately at the age of ten in Richmond, CA, T~Rev's mother was murdered in their home as he and his brothers slept through the malevolent act. He then went to live with his dad in a rough East Oakland, CA neighborhood. He watched painfully and shamefully as his dad turned to crack and his elder brother resorted to drug-hustling.
