Ugly Rumours were a British rock band briefly active during the early 1970's formed by students at St. Johns College Oxford. The band derived it's name from the cover of the Grateful Dead album 'From the Mars Hotel'. Notable members include: Anthony (Tony) Blair, who later went on to become a lawyer, politician, leader of the British Labour Party and eventually from 1997-2007, Prime Minister of Great Britain.
