A quintessentially post-modern artist, Jiménez Gallardo manages to reference everything from the rawness of late 70s post-punk, the DIY aesthetics of twee, the Nortec-cited regional sounds of northern mexico, the spaztic future-shock experiments of the Wham City collective, all for the sake of a killer hook.
