Taking their name from the Swedish word for The Milky Way, Vintergatan is the four-piece collective of comprised of multi-instrumentalists Evelina Hägglund, Martin Molin, Marcus Sjöberg and David Zandén. With an experimental air of post-rock feel, “Sommarfågel” (lit. summer bird) the first of their efforts, is a wonderful medley of sounds that the band has assembled ranging from music boxes, accordions to the plethora of synthesizers the band has scattered across their vast collection of instruments.
