Longtime Sunshine is a cult classic to Weezer fans, one of the most mellow pieces in the bands discography. This was written between the Blue Album and Pinkerton, the "east coast college with history" line is about Rivers yearning to join Harvard (which he eventually did in the fall of 1995) and the whole song is about Cuomo longing for a simpler life.
