There are multiple artists with the name yuni. 1) YuNi is a female Japanese virtual singer and YouTuber. She was affiliated with the virtual talent support project upd8 from its inception in 2018 until it announced its dissolution by the end of 2020. On August 14, 2020, it was announced that she had left upd8 and would be signing with the major record label TOY'S COMPANY.
YuNi's YouTube channel opened on May 14, 2018 and she debuted a month later with a self-introduction video. On October 26 she launched her personal label yunion.wave with the release of her debut digital single 透明声彩 (Toumei Seisai). Her channel had already reached 200,000 subscribers by December 27.
On April 24, 2019, YuNi released her debut album clear / CoLoR. clear consists of six original songs, including the previously released digital singles 透明声彩, Winter Berry, and 花は幻 (Hana wa Maboroshi), and CoLoR consists of six covers of vocaloid songs. This was released both as separate digital downloads and a 2×CD set, the limited edition release also including a bonus DVD of music videos. On October 6, she released her fourth digital single, Beautiful World. This was her third song written by YUC'e, following 透明声彩 and "Winter Berry."
YuNi released her fifth digital single ココロノック (Kokoro Knock) on August 14, 2020. Another collaboration with YUC'e, it was used as the ending theme song for the anime series 宇崎ちゃんは遊びたい! (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!). The single was released on CD with a bonus b-side song and the instrumental version of the title track on September 30.
On April 16, 2021, YuNi released キライ (Kirai), the first single from her second album eternal journey as well as her first major label release. This was followed by its second single DAYZ on May 15. eternal journey was released on June 16.

2) Born in Las Vegas and relocated to the LA area, yuni (Unxque) is a producer/artist pushing the boundaries of music sonically in both the mainstream and underground scene.
He started producing at the age of 13 using FL Studio, eventually working with and producing for artists such as Lil Nas X, JID, Jaden, and more (from the age of 15).
As an artist under the alias “yuni”, he’s released several R&B/Pop singles, including collaborations with Korean artists such as hanuel and Lydia Ganada.
