Zayen was born in Lemsella. Rocked by the ancient songs of Kabylia, he started very young in music composition. After the galas in high schools in Tizi-Ouzou and Azazga (large Kabylie), he recorded his first album "Imawlanis" (his parents) who was a great success, leading him to broaden his audience.
