Zero-Zero was formed in 1980 in Munich by Gerald Klepka (synth, vocals), whom had previously played in the city orchestra. Jens Poeniz (bass, synth, vocals) and Heinz Stieglitz (drums) soon joined up. Their first hit was "Irrenanstalt" (Madhouse). Television shows (München in Rock) and live performances made the band more popular, but not enough for them to stick around for longer than approx 3 years. Their first and only LP, "Herzklopfen", was released in 1982.
