Graham Amir a.k.a. Mr Amir is an indie reggae musician from Liverpool, United Kingdom, who emerged in the Liverpool scene of the mid-1980s. His band formed in 1981, and played their first gig at a benefit for The Liverpool 8 Defence Committee, on the Ashante Lawns, Liverpool Caribbean Centre, during the infamous Toxteth Riots/Uprisings of that Summer. Having formed Cross Section, one of Liverpool's earliest reggae bands, around the turn of the decade, Graham Amir released his own solo single on the Proble Plus label in 1983. An album (Dawning, 1984) and an EP (No Place To Go, 1985) followed.
