From Moita, Portugal, NEW MECANICA started in the summer of 1997. Under the name DRIFT AWAY, they’ve composed a few tracks with traditional Heavy Metal influences with a Gothic touch. In 2000, the band retouches their sound, leaving a considerable set of tracks behind, and changes their name to RESET. In January/February 2001, the band records their debut demo-CD in the Cabral brothers Boom Studios.
