Soul Mountain was formed in Oslo, 2010, by Kristoffer Rødseth and Anders Simonsen (both from Kaospilot) to explore new musical fields. They draw inspiration from a variation of music in many different ways and kinds, yet they aim at writing songs filled with high moods, danceable beats and evocative melodies. In april 2011 their first single (7”/cd) was released. Recorded by Martin Bowitz and their good friend Øyvind Moland played the drums.
