Lyrics
Gather round let me recount the tale
Of a bold hero who we'd see prevail
The mighty warrior Acroterion
Who no sane ruler would dare wage war upon
There was a cyclops building walls with stones
The local villagers wouldn't pass alone
Acroterion drew his sword to thee
And severed the beast's head in pieces three
You can fight him with swords and thunder
But you'll never win
Do mere mortals ever ponder
Their tripartition within
Acroterion could not be dispatched
A devious plot his enemies did hatch
Make his people in him lose all their hope
And when weakened be trapped by pegs and rope
Bound, weeping not he called upon
The gods above, no more wrought
By mortal yokes, he then made haste
To aid his village
His foes had seized his rightful place
Enraged with vengeance hot
Seeing the fear in his enemies' eyes
As he returned
You can fight him with swords and thunder
But you'll never win
Do mere mortals ever ponder
Their tripartition within
You can fight him with swords and thunder
But you'll never win
Do mere mortals ever ponder
Their tripartition within
