And also the trees成立于1979年，英国伍斯特郡的一个小村里，乐队的灵魂成员是Simon Huw Jones/ Justin Jones兄弟（这对兄弟在80年代英伦乐坛，恐怕也只有Jesus and Mary Chain得Reid兄弟可以相比了），进行了2次小型演出后，乐队看到the cure征求英国巡演暖场乐队的广告，于是寄了一盘样带过去，Cure得主脑Robert Smith听后大为激赏，就这样，and also the trees在1981年为the cure的英国巡演暖场，初步为人所知，也开始了与the cure复杂的关系…… 演出结束后，the cure继续与and also the trees保持很亲密的关系，并共同在82年发行了限量200张的小样《From Under The Hill》，前三首歌为Mike Hedges和Robert Smith合作（Mike Hedges是the Cure的制作人），后三首歌则由and also the trees独立完成。83年11月the Cure的鼓手Lol Tolhurst更为AND ALSO THE TREES制作了单曲唱片《Shantell》（这是AND ALSO THE TREES的第一章正式发行作品），紧接着，Lol Tolhurst又帮助AND ALSO THE TREES出版了第… 了解更多
