I heard this song on my car radio and tried every music store available to me to find it. No one had never heard of Billy Vera.

Just a GREAT song with some damn fine vocals from Billy Vera, and the saxophone is superb on this track. LOVE it...

It's one of those songs that you just don't hear enough. I think everyone and their brother was in the Beaters.

Loved this song from the first time I heard it

I can still remember the first time I heard this song. It was "Family Ties" and Michael J. Fox's love interest at the time was dumping him. They played this when the door closed behind her. It has been on my mind for an entire week...I just had to hear it!

You're absolutely right "cyrone". The whole tune is, "Out of Sight", but the sax is "Way Far Out of Sight". It reminds me of my son who died in 1985 at age 20. He introduced me to this tune and Billy V. My son was in his 2nd yr. college, performing arts. His major was tenor sax. I listen, but makes me cry. I played Cordovox, my wife tenor and alto sax, clarinet, piano and organ. Our 2nd son plays trumpet. Sorry about your parents "holetoledo". Thanks for the info "Tedtrivia".

At The Moment was written in 1977, but no one wanted to record it, although Dionne Warwick and Olivia Newton-John came close to doing so. Billy Vera And The Beaters finally released it in 1981 as the followup to I Can Take Care of Myself on the Japanese-owned Alfa label.
