Fantastic partnership. I'm of the opinion that each did their best work in this collaboration. I know What's Going On and Let's Get It On are classics, but for me Marvin was at his best doing duets with Tammi. Like a lot of the great music from the 50s, 60s and 70s, I have my Mom to thank for introducing me to this stuff, too.

my two sweet heroes. their beautiful souls come out in the music they made in their short time together. I love them both so very much. seeing the Motown building in Detroit was really something incredible for me. Both met such tragic ends yet made such happy music. And of course Ashford & Simpson thank you for writing their finest material!

there is a TV special on Tammi Terrell I believe the show is called "Unsung" famous black soul artists who have been kind of neglected.

this music is wonderful! i have never listened anything related to soul music, but when i heard 'ain't nothing like the real thing' on the radio, i was instantly hooked. lovely duet.
