70年代重要的华丽摇滚乐队，主唱是Ian Hunter，主吉他手是被称为“华丽摇滚吉他之父”的Mick Ronson，后者在David Bowie的《Ziggy Stardust》中有非常精彩的表演。 1969年Mott The Hoople在美国成立的时候，直到一九六九年之间发行四张专辑都不成功，虽然那年乐团还在全美进行全美演出但是在1972年3月濒临解散，第一次听Mott The Hoople专辑是从69年的那张《Mad Shadows》唱片开始，六十年未至七十年代出乐团发布的唱片还是有一定的影响力，但没有红着发火，问题主要是当时的环境流行因素造成。 该乐队成立于1969年，虽然很有自己的风格水平，但是商业上总是不太成功，结果到了1972年就已经面临解散的危机。这时他们的一位fans挺身而出，为他们创作了一些优秀的歌曲，这个fans就是大名鼎鼎的David Bowie。1972年的All the Young Dudes让乐队暂时走出了危机，不过由于主打歌是David Bowie所作，有人甚至误以为Mott the Hoople是David Bowie领导的乐队。Ian Hunter等乐队成员对此当然很有想法，到了1973年，这张厚积薄发的Mott终于在英美两地都获得成功，All The Way From Memphis成为美国电台热播的歌曲，在英国也进入了Top 1… 了解更多
