The childhood friends Gisho (vocals), Chisato (guitar) and O-Jiro (drums) started Penicillin in 1992. The singer was later replaced by Hakuei, and Gisho started playing the bass. From the very beginning it was clear to these boys that Penicillin was going to be huge. They focused on touring, wearing outrageous outfits and playing quite heavy rock, which soon started to get people's attention.
