Just a college student when I saw my dream appear
All that grindin' paid off, felt like Clipse for real
Was an ambitious cat, knew I'd persevere
There was a clear path ahead, fast track to success
Had an executive position, even I was impressed
I will confess, early on I was under some stress
But the ideas were always flowing, all I saw was progress
Let me express, my endeavors were passionate
I didn't take this job just because there was cash in it
Just wanted to enhance the brand to become immaculate
Improve the water they were swimming in, make a splash in it
Imagine if
I never joined, then things wouldn't be the same
Became the face of a group, they had me pave out a lane
Stacked several millions of views, saw the community gain
As some say, I was killing the game but then

Fast forward six years, my job is letting me loose
They saw their train's on track and they ditched the caboose
Every angle seemed right, but I guess I'm obtuse
This company left me hanging, now I'm here with the noose
Excuses flew through the air on why I'm getting the axe
Was heating up on the call, they're telling me to relax
Said they'd be cutting my hours, but here I'm laid over tracks
I gave my heart to this job and now they're turning their backs
The facts are, just a few months prior I got a raise
Fought two years for three bucks, man hard work really pays
Seemed to me like they had thought, "Oh I hope that he stays"
But actually, it was, "He needs to go, now he's overpaid"
