As Blood Runs Black is an American deathcore band from Los Angeles, California formed in 2003. The band was formed from a band called Broken Stems by vocalists Louie Ruvalcaba and Enrique "Ricky" Martin, Bassist Richard Reyes, and guitarists Bjorn Roybal and Kyle Hasenstab, with the drummer, Brian "Animal" Matute leaving and being replaced by Hector "Lech" De Santiago.
