Brix & The Extricated are an English alternative band, formed in 2014 in Manchester, by ex-Fall members Brix Smith Start (vocals/guitar), Steve Hanley (bass guitar), his brother Paul Hanley (drums) and Steve Trafford (guitar and vocals). The band formed in 2014 in Manchester, following the launch event for Steve Hanley's autobiography The Big Midweek. A fifth member, Irish guitarist Jason Brown completed the line-up.
