My introduction to Charlemagne Palestine was several years ago via the inestimable BBC Radio 3 who broadcast a live concert. After the concert, in standard dry BBC tones the announcer said something like 'the piano strings are broken, there is blood on the keyboard, as is customary at Charlemagne Palestine's concerts'. It took me some time and efort to find any recordings of his work. Worth the search tho.
