after thirteen years of accurate listening i'm finally ready to speak out: "further" is a direct proof of another dimension of boundless beauty and the deepest thoughts for self-analysis. the one of a few shoegaze records that blows away to its own space.

Yeah, all jokes aside, my personal way to cope with tinnitus is to consider it a part of myself (i.e. something that *belongs* to me in some way) instead of something external that constitutes a threat or a hindrance. For example, my observation is that my tinnitus tends to get worse when I'm stressed or have too much stuff on my plate, so I 'use' it as a helpful indicator that tells me that I should take it easy and be wary of my stress level. Of course, this is all easier said than done -- it takes a good while and it obviously depends on the intensity of the tinnitus.

yes I know. and FSA also has songs named Popol Vuh. btw. check the 1976 album Letzte Tage Letzte Nächte by the band Popol Vuh - I wouldn‘t call that „quasi-classical newage boredom“ at all.

i disagree, FSA and spacemen 3 are two completely different groups. they both have their own tones and aesthetics. while they both use similar techniques and have similar sounds, FSA use a less structured and more variable theme with their songwriting, wheras spacemen 3 are much more mantra-esque in their songwriting.

not to mention if you listen to an album like Distance or Chorus you'll notice a distinct gap between the styles of the two groups. FSA take on a more acoustic, ambient tone in those albums, much more so than in their self-titled. and while you could compare them both to The Perfect Prescription, i'd say there is a definite lack of empathy. TPP sounds much more confused and tired, wheras the two FSA albums sound melancholy and reminiscent of some strange place out in the countryside.

oh my god, the vinyl edition of Instrumentals 2015 is gorgeous, the nicest packaging I've seen all year. Side D is a really cool etching, too!

duuuude i feel that, i've been struggling with my FSA vinyl because the sleeves just keep bending and crumpling up and aaaAAAA they just won't fit in there. better than paper sleeves though, ion know how many times i've torn those.

I was just talking about FSA a few weeks ago since I got a first pressing of the debut. It was really nice having it in my hands, but made me a bit sad I didn't even know if Dave was still making music or alive even. To my surprise he comes the fuck out of nowhere with a new album a week ago. Seriously, I'm beyond words. I never thought Dave would come back, let alone come back a new FSA release.

"For fans of Flying Saucer Attack: a new album of instrumentals will be released by Domino on July 13, 2015. I’m lucky to have heard an advance digital version, and it’s great, but I’m looking forward to the record. FSA always sounds best on vinyl, Dave’s intended method of delivery." ~ http://jessicabailiff.tumblr.com/post/116568842761/new-flying-saucer-attack-album

Apparently FSA didn't have any pictures until 2010, and I thought I joined late.
