Sam is an amazing performer.

It's a weird thing to say but I wish they took some drugs and started making more punk shit like their early albums. Sam is already moshing to love songs. If he wrote more rock stuff he would probably explode. Anyway, one of the few bands I've been listening to for over a decade and it's still fresh.

Their singles collection has gotten me through some hard times. And King of Sweden hits me hard every time I hear it. I love these guys.

This band is my unique gem

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark being a similar artist is legit funny. anyways i'm happy I fell in love with this band with In Evening Air (still their best) and that they're still making good music. Good for them.

I love the new album. Yes, it is certainly not a major change but very familiar in a comfortable way. Emotionally, it must be one of their strongest albums.

In Evening Air is unfortunately, the only album I like by FI. I love IEA sooo much. I really wish I liked their whole discography. I just can’t get into it.

As of writing this only like 250 people have listened to Moss of Aura's (Gerrit Welmers) album from last year, Clear Image. I realize how much this makes me sound like a shill but for Christ's sake show some more support to the sound behind Future Islands.

They have my heart, Sam's voice has my heart! That live performance on Letterman I can never forget, probably one of my favorites for life. The passionate energy is infectious

Was going to comment ridiculing them for writing the same song over and over, but I just realized the first 3 albums actually sound different. So fine, I’ll just ridicule them for writing the same song over and over since 2014. But they also deserve respect for being able to maintain a fanbase just by doing that. Probably because the one song they do is really good. And they still sound completely unique. So they found their niche and they’re staying there. Good on them. But still...

That bassline in Moonlight is gorgeous. What an album.

We really need a sequel EP to Undressed.

i came here initially to defend the catalogue, but the new album is wonderful. 2020 is really lining up for a lot of artists. This album sounds like growth from self-reflection, both in the lyricism and music.

New album is amazing! Well done, guys! I didn't really like The Far Field, it felt like they tried to write something like Singles on purpose and lost something on the way. This is something new, something fresh... it's own thing.
