I can’t believe the drop off in popularity for this band. One of the most critically acclaimed records of 2016 and now 11 listeners per week? All star band with an unforgettable record. They’ve all got their own thing but I’d love to hear them hook up again.

It's almost 4 years since you wrote this and it's still just 11 listeners per week, haha. Just recently found my way back to this little gem and find myself connecting with it much more strongly than before. It's also making me revisit those old Comets on Fire albums which I used to blast in the car. I think the problem is that there's just so much STUFF out there that something from 2016 will get overshadowed by whatever the Spotify algorithm tells you to listen to. But, Heron Oblivion will always be there for us to (re)discover.

apparently, they still play at wine festivals in California. Meg Baird also recently put out another solo record, but it's not heavy psych. They need to get put in a movie or something.
