The Laughing Clowns formed after the breakup of The Saints, and were led by Ed Kuepper, the guitarist from that band. Around from about 1978 to 1985, the band had a changing membership, but the constants were Kuepper and drummer Jeffrey Wegener. Sax players included Louise Elliot and Bob Farrell, who played sax early on with Ben Wallace-Crabbe on bass & Dan Wallace-Crabbe on piano.
