Friendly Fire was a previously unreleased track by the band, and was both written and recorded during the sessions for their seventh studio album One More Light. It is one of the last songs to be recorded with late frontman Chester Bennington before his passing in July 2017, and is one of two songs from the Papercuts tracklist to never be released on streaming platforms, the other being QWERTY.
