Biography
This Chicago based artist Manny Duke also known as Manny da Duke, producer and engineer has been on the music seen for six pivotal years. Sharing the stage with such acts as Big Sean, Smif-N-Wessun, GLC, Rymefest, Really Doe of Good Music, Mikey Halsted, Crucial Conflict, YP, Adebisi, Gramz(NYC), Jargon, Hot2Def, Rockie Fresh, DMeeks and Mikey Streets to name a few has made a regional name for himself with his unique style of music.
In 2006 He began touring with DA Sickness which consisted of front men Chink$and Chacho, along with G, and Stylefree, a Park Forest based (Chicago-land) performing in Colleges and Universities in the Midwest. He further developed his lyrical style as he began work on his first two mix-tapes Summer Slam Mayhem then Love, Sex & Hip-Hop that was produced by Chink$, himself and two industry instrumentals. "Summer Slam Mayhem" was released March 5, 2007 then "Love, Sex & Hip-Hop" was released on October 25th, 2009. Both compilations opened the imagination of how versatile this lyricist is as he showed he can also compose the instrumentals he performs to.
After releasing two mix-tapes, Manny Duke felt he needed to push himself and expand on his creativity working with new producers. He then released his first album less than 5 months of Love,Sex & hip-Hop, February 25th 2010 came the release of his first album entitled "The Doppler Effect LP" executive produced by Doyo, Chink$and Manny Duke himself under his production tittle Dukanomics. The Doppler Effect LP tittle stems from an astronomy term which means lights and sounds from the universe that's visible from earth. This album brings heavy drums with a jazzy tune toppled by a fresh batch of Chi-town bred lyrics. "The Doppler Effect" seen success numerous online sales worldwide.
July 16, 2011 Manny Duke released his second album "Proper Gander" with singles "No Gravity," "Dial Me Up" "Red Lights" including a De La Soul sample of "Buddy. Hip-hop/Dub-step/R&B defines this artist genre range executive produced by Doyo and Dukanomics.
October 5, 2012 Manny Duke released his third solo project, "Legal Thievery LP" . He is currently working on "Blak2Con, Blak2Con with Scottie Meyers who plays guitar, while Manny plays the drums and performs vocals on the project.
