Biography
Since its formation in the small music town of Denton, Pageantry has emerged as a riveting and unique voice in the Texas music scene with its chaotic blend of dream pop, odd-metered shoe-gaze and catchy lo-fi pop.
The band’s first success came from the 2013 release of their debut EP “Friends of the Year.” The four-song record was lauded by critics with Dallas Observer comparing it to ”an out-of-body experience” and helped to catapult the trio into appearances at major music festivals, national touring, a Daytrotter Session and supporting roles for the likes of Midlake, Superchunk and others.
2014 promises big things for the young band with their first official SXSW showcase landing them on the Huffington Post’s “Best of the Fest” list, an official showcase at CMJ 2014 and a full-length album in the works.
