1) Possessed is an American / band and was formed in 1983 in San Francisco, California. After breaking up shortly after The Eyes of Horror, The band reformed under Mike Torrao in 1990. After releasing a couple of demos, the band split up. Possessed reformed again under original bassist/vocalist Jeff Becerra in 2007. They are noted for their fast playing style, Becerra's guttural vocals and have been cited as an influence on the death metal genre.
