I honestly like it more based on first listen at least, only heard both once. Oceania had some really good stuff, but also some i didn't get into that much yet at least. Need to listen to both more!

Oh, I of the Mourning is definitely one of the most underrated! Always been one of my fave Pumpkins tracks! I've never seen them live unfortunately :/ But yeah i've got the Best Buy version of Zeitgeist on CD with those bonus tracks you mentioned, all great indeed! I've gotta say from that album United States in particular is very underrated IMO, some of Chamberlin's best dtumming.

they always did united states at the shows in those years, really went over well live! Those were great tours if you were a diehard fan, they played some deep deep cuts and very few hits if any haha. So I loved it! I've seen SP a dozen or so times (just back in August being the most recent). I'm in the US Midwest, so they our here or near by very often. Im mad they havent played Geek USA live in so long, or Here is No Why.

Geek USA is like top 3 Pumpkins track for me, really a shame if they haven't played it anymore. Here is No Why is also among my faves off Mellon Collie, i think.

i'm amazed how good Aghori Mhori Mei is. Some melodies are reminiscent of The Killers somehow. But i love it

Aghori Mhori Mei is their best entry in this whole century alongside Oceania.

Definitely an improvement on ATUM. And I didn't hate ATUM. Some real bangers on AMM

this band has made some of the absolute best and some of the most boring music ever made and their frontman is a spineless pussy, but god damn i love this band.

I was thinking more of a dick than a pussy but otherwise on point... I don't have the kind of love/hate relationship with any of my other favorite bands and I generally enjoy their discographies more thoroughly, yet I've still listened to SP more than any other band in my whole time using last.fm. The vast amount of music they've recorded and how a good part of it is so inaccessible buried in the box sets, compilations or some material that is just not available almost anywhere... it irritates and fascinates me year in and a year out. Not all of it is even good by any measure but I keep coming back to it and discovering songs I've never heard. But god damnit please re-release Machina II officially already, I want any and all that is included in such.

Machina II was never officially released so will never be on Spotify until Bolly finally completes the full Machina reissue that he’s been talking about since Joe Biden was a wean. Hopefully Zeitgeist’s absence from streaming means it’s going to get a “reimagining” one day and we’ll hear those songs in their true glory without being ruined by terrible mixing.

You’re confused that Mayonaise, one of their greatest and most iconic tracks is in their top 10 most listened? Cupid de Locke and Luna are a little more surprising but are on their two most popular albums so it’s hardly incomprehensible. Usually when “random” songs are really popular it’s something to do with TikTok so I’m guessing those songs are popular there.

15th anniversary of the remasters coming up, will there be remasters of the remaster?!

they could at least make the remastered tags consistent. (remastered - 2011) (remastered) (2014 remaster)

Zeitgeist has absolutely atrocious mixing and Billy's voice sounds passionless and dry which is the main issue with Zeitgeist. The songs are good and the musicianship is incredible. I can see why it got a negative reception on release (no James or D'Arcy and Bolly was a lot more hated back then than now anyway) but with a remix and remaster it will absolutely be reassessed as a really good rock record, just not amongst “hipsters” and the Netphoria crowd but what’s new there?

Definitely getting some Perfect Circle vibes from the new album, which makes sense since James has worked with both bands. Love what I’m hearing, favorite SP release since Machina
