Originally formed in 2006 as a traveling busking husband and wife duo playing for strangers on street corners, coffee shops, and campfires across the country, Traveling Broke and Out of Gas has taken root in Lafayette, Indiana and evolved into a five-member, genre defying brand of folk rock; ever changing and never ceasing to surprise their fans with their unique style, blend of instrumentation, and unparalleled lyrical magic. Led by the sultry vocals of Rachael Yanni and cerebral songwriting of Cody Hall, this group of musical pioneers has created a sound that will make any music lover stop in their tracks. The band incorporates a variety of instrumentation including guitars, upright bass, fiddles, washboard, ukuleles, a makeshift travel ready drum kit, pots and pans, and hoops and hollers. With dozens of original songs, two full length albums, and a national tour under their belt, Traveling Broke and Out of Gas continues to intrigue audiences and will not be slowing down anytime soon.
